Life-Cycle Based Decisions for Business focusing on the Food Sector and the Retailers

This workshop will identify drivers and barriers for life-cycle based decisions in Business and Industry. In addition, needs and requirements will be presented following a survey done in 2007 and 2008. Main life cycle approaches already successfully implemented in the
private sector will be discussed. Considering the importance of the food sector in the region, special attention will be given to this area. In alignment with a life cycle approach, retailers play an important role in this sector and should be also highlighted in the discussions.
Participants will debate about the possibilities of their implementation in their companies. Action items from the workshop will be recorded and followed up by the UNEP/SETAC Life
